UPDATE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION AND ACCOUNT MANDATE

SIERRA LEONE COMMERCIAL BANK LIMITED WISHES TO INFORM ITS NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS THAT THE BANK HAS RECOMMENCED THE  PROCESS OF UPDATING ALL CUSTOMER RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT LEGISLATION AND BANKING REGULATIONS ON KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER (KYC), CUSTOMER DUE DILIGENCE (CDD) AND KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER’S CUSTOMERS (KYCC).

ACCORDINGLY, CUSTOMERS ARE KINDLY AND URGENTLY REQUESTED TO CALL AT THEIR BRANCH AND PRESENT THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR THE TYPE OF ACCOUNT HELD TO AID COMPLIANCE AND COMPLETENESS OF THEIR ACCOUNT RECORDS.  OFFICIALS OF THE BANK MAY ALSO VISIT SOME CUSTOMERS TO FACILITATE RECOVERY OF OUTSTANDING DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THEIR ACCOUNT.

IN SOME INSTANCES, CUSTOMERS MAY BE REQUESTED TO COMPLETE NEW FORMS AND PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN FULFILLMENT OF KYC, CDD AND KYCC STANDARDS.

THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY DOCUMENTS BASED ON ACCOUNT CLASS ARE REQUESTED.

ALL ACCOUNT TYPES

·         TWO PASSPORT-SIZED PICTURES OF ACCOUNT HOLDER/SIGNATORIES/ULTIMATE BENEFICIAL OWNERS

·         COPY OF PASSPORT/DRIVER’S LICENCE/NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD/VOTER’S ID CARD

·         COPY OF UTILITY BILL/RENT RECEIPT/ANY DOCUMENT TO ESTABLISH PROOF OF ADDRESS.

SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP, PARTNERSHIP, CLUB, ASSOCIATIONS, NGOS

·         CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF BUSINESS NAME REGISTRATION

·         CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF BUSINESS REGISTRATION

·         PARTNERSHIP DEED/AGREEMENT

·         CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF CONSTITUTION/BYE LAWS

LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES

·         CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION

·         CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION

·         RECENT AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

·         BOARD RESOLUTION/EXCERPT

 

WE MENTION THAT THIS EXERCISE WILL CARRY ON FOR 90 DAYS AFTER WHICH THE STATUS OF INCOMPLETE ACCOUNT RECORDS AND BUSINESS RELATIONS WILL BE DETERMINED.
